This half-day workshop will provide the theory and practice that underpin the recognition of the deteriorating patient using an ABCDE (Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability, Exposure) approach to ensure best practice and patient safety are maintained.
At the end of the course participants should be able to understand:
• The importance of early recognition of the deteriorating patient
• The causes of cardio-respiratory arrest in adults
• How to identify and treat patients at risk of cardio-respiratory arrest using the ABCDE (Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability, Exposure) approach
